Orelsan, the Norman rapper
Aurélien Cotentin, better known as Orelsan, is a French rapper, singer-songwriter, and director born on August 1, 1982 in Alençon.
Revealed in 2009 with the provocative title "Changement", he established himself as one of the major figures of French rap thanks to his incisive lyrics and self-deprecating humor.
His album "Civilisation" (2021) was a phenomenal success, winning the Victoires de la Musique for best album and male artist of the year. The documentary "Montre jamais ça à personne" offered an intimate look at his journey.
With over 2 million albums sold and sold-out concerts across France, Orelsan has become an icon of French pop culture.
